The senior generation of circus - lovers of our country remembers well the attraction with exotic animals «Hello the World’ created by the Honoured artists of Russia Lubov’ and Boris Fedotovy.

          During 90-th when mass reorganization of all spheres of a life took place in the country, unfortunately it had a negative effect on circus, many achievements of the Soviet circus were lost, and the attraction has completely stopped the existence.
          And during this hard time for the country, in spite of all difficulties in 1996 Sergey Nesterov and Elena Fedotova decided to create a new attraction with exotic animals on motives of the popular attraction created by Elena's parents. Michael Semenovich Moskvin was a circus director, who supported their enthusiasm and helped to overcome all bureaucratic obstacles. So on the next director's board the new attraction with the audacious name «Here we are» was approved. Unfortunately, Michael Semenovich couldn’t see the forethought creation, as he died in half a year. This tragical event didn’t stop the future animal trainers, and the Ivanovo circus opened the doors for the new attraction in September, 1996.
          A python was the first, who appeared in the future ill-matched troupe. Two young nice camels were brought from Kalmyk steppes. The Shetland pony Ponchick (Doughnut) by name was arrived from Penza by car «kabluchok», and Thomas and Jessica (the two little leopards) were brought in a box from a vacuum cleaner. And intense rehearsals began.
          In process of replenishment by quadrupeds actors such animals as a pony, Moscow patrol dogs, a zebra, a kangaroo, a horse, African ostriches, a crocodile – mutant appeared. And the attraction was renamed as «The African Safari».
          The first show of the new attraction took place in 1998 in the Ivanovo circus with Elena Fedotova, Sergey Nesterov and their eldest daughter Nastia. That was how long-awaited tours began.
         The first spectators who saw the attraction  «The African safari» were Ukrainians, then Hungarians and people from Baltic countries. In 1999 the fragment of the attraction «Leopards and ponies» became the winner of The International festival of circus art in Budapest.

          Anastasia made her debut with a solo number «The Higher school of riding» in autumn of 2000 in Vilnius on the arena «Baltios’. This event became a real present for her as it was her birthday, she was 13.
          The first people who saw the attraction in Russia, its fragments, were spectators of the Moscow circus by Y.V.Nikulin in the spring in 2001 in the program «The Circus without borders». The next was the  tour across the Urals, and after tours in Ekaterinburg the attraction came back again to Ukraine in spring in 2002. The tours in The National circus of the Ukraine in Kiev had great success. And the future quadrupeds actors for a number of the youngest daughter Alice were bought in the market of the Ukrainian capital: a mastiff Lord, boxer Atilla, a dwarfish poodle Dominoe. While one grew up, others started rehearsals. So in the Kiev circus the preparation for the number «Boxing with a kangaroo» began.
          The tour across the Ukraine went on. Besides the attraction, which last all the second part of the performance, and number «The Higher school of riding» in the first part of the program, there were two more numbers, directly related to «Safari». It was the number «An acrobatic trio», performed by the Winners of the international festival in Verona Kyril and Honored artists of Russia Marina and Andrey Ivanovy and the clown number «Boxing with a kangaroo» where Kyril Ivanov had become the permanent opponent of a kangaroo since 2002, and in «The African Safari» he appeared as «The Comedian Papuane». Kyril was 16 years old for that period of time, and he solve the task excellent.

          Sergey, Lena and Nastia received not only powerful creative support from the Ivanovy’s, but also related support, because Andrey is Lena’s uncle.

          In summer of 2003 «The African Safari» gave performances in Russia, with «The Golden circus chapiteau» by Y.V.Nikulin. During that time (summer of 2003) leopards, ponies, horses and artists of the attraction were acting in a serial «Sibirochka» by V.A. Grammatikov at «The Mosfilm». In «The Golden circus» the Honored artist of Russia Andrey Ivanov for the first time tried himself in a role of the compere or, as it is accepted to call in circus,  Shprekhshtalmeister. And since then this circus family enriched with one of the best circus comperes, who is invited to lead concerts with participation of circus and pop-stars.
         
          During same time (2003) the younger daughter – Alice as the actress – Training of Dogs does the first steps in a circus field. Actors take part In its number under the name a cheerful court yard, as the rate, a mastiff, the boxer, a poodle, mittelshnaucer and a cat such different breeds. In September 2006 Nastya Fedotova is the winner of youth competition of circus performers in Moscow with number «a higher school of riding».

          In the end of 2003 and actors «Safari» goes on tour all 2004 across Siberia and the Far East. Sound skeleton of representation which was made with numbers was formed of friendly circus family: «the Acrobatic trio»,«trained dog's», «the higher school of riding», «boxing from a kangaroo», Shprekhshtalmeister and an attraction». Then the idea of creation of youth collective has come.

          The Future stable creative collective have decided to name «Safari» as in translation from language Suahili this word means – walk, travel – as became the basic plot of representation. Actors have suggested spectators to make together with them small travel on a small island, a huge planet – circus, and a song « the Planet circus » in execution of the Honored artist of Russia Alexander Kovalevskogo became its logic end. For greater beauty of numbers have decided to collect ballet group and have addressed for the help to ballet master Ljubovi Korzhenko. And in very deadlines the ballet group of 6 person under the name «Safari» which prime-minister took place on January, 2nd 2004 in the city of Khabarovsk was born. Dancing numbers have turned out beautiful and Different genres is and Rock'n'Roll, and the east, and Ireland, a jazz – a modernist style and others, and the main thing the highly professional Ballet group has given to the program the certain completeness and integrity of perception.

          The basic requirements to artist’s of ballet «Safari» was and there is an obligatory finished choreographic formation. Now for creation of high-grade circus representation «Safari» clowns and group number were required only. The attraction during all tours acquired new tricks, updating by new animals. One of the last in «Safari» has appeared the llama, the crocodile, a python an albino. Among achievements of an attraction a trick «Capriole» – a jump from the Viennese school of riding in execution of the pony. Nastya – the unique rider the African ostriches in Russia as its grandmother Lubove Fetovoi once was unique. For the first time, going on tour now, stable creative collective «Safari » going on tour now has gathered in the city of Izhevsk in February, 2005. Into its structure have entered: comic trapeze artists – Vyacheslav Ermak and Denis Matveev, « a cheerful court yard » Nesterov's Alice, the most young coach, «an acrobatic trio» Cyril and Honored artists of Russia of Marina and Andrey Ivanovyh, ballet group «Safari», «the higher school of riding» Anastasii Fedotovoj, illusion in Elena Ikonopistsevoj's execution and Ruslan Bratko, «boxing from a kangaroo» Sergey Nesterov with Cyril's participation and the Honored artist of Russia Andrey Ivanovyh, flight with a trampoline under direction of Anna Zverevoj, she’s owner a special prize of the Government of Poland, winners the festival of clowns in Paris and Saratov the clowns duet «the Bon– chance» Maxim Volkov and Nikolay Antoshkin and certainly in a role Shprekhshtalmeister the Honored artist of Russia Andrey Ivanov. On rough reaction of spectators and positive responses of press it was obvious, that the program has gone right.
          After tours in Izhevsk in March, 2005 in accident young children, remarkable actors Glory Ermak and Denis Matveev tragically was lost. The collective long could not recover from a shock and only in half a year the program has replenished with new circus numbers. The creative-related jamb «Safari» was adjoined by two fine young actors – Sergey Nesterov's nephews – Katya and Victor Shustov’s. Despite of an early age, solo – juggler Victor Shustov the student of the international competition of young circus performers in Moscow, and air gymnast on cloths Ekaterina Shustova the winner of the international competition of young circus performers in Latino – Italy and the winner of the first premium and a prize the Gold elephant at the international competition of young circus performers in Moscow.

          Every day collective it is penetrated by creativity. In January, 2006 Anastasia has shown spectators new number in a genre horse Trainer, under the name «It and It» in which elements of the higher school of riding are executed sitting on a naked back of a horse.

          «Safari» helps young actors to open it, to realize the creative abilities that are the keystone to success of collective, and the reason of heightened interest of spectators.

          Work of art inspirers of the project «Safari» has not noticed from company management Russian State Circus Company and on December, 24th, 2005 the decree of the President of Russia to Elena Fedotovoj and Sergey Nesterov appropriates a rank of Honored artists of Russia.

          With purchase of the newest light and sound equipment in what there is a considerable merit of the company «Rock Stage», numbers working in the program it became similar to the diamonds which have received tremendous facet.

          The Beauty, a youth, a high professional level of actors «Safari», and also a hardware, various suits and certainly unpredictable jokes of Sprehshtalmeister give to the program a condition of sound SHOW!!! And so spectators who carry with itself the most powerful charge of vivacity and good mood name the program «Safari»!!!
